A Local & Global Collective

trc-people.png

For over 40 years, TRC Ministry Collective has been doing the hard, beautiful work of transformation in Alexandria, Minnesota and around the world. We're not consultants theorizing from a distance. We're practitioners with our hands in the dirt. Some of our work is hyper-local, measured in blocks. Some spans continents.

Whether we're mentoring a recently released ex-offender or equipping an indigenous pastor in Ghana, the conviction is the same: we partner with what God is already doing, we empower those closest to the need, and we build systems that multiply long after we're gone.

Community Kids Program

A hub for transformation in the heart of Alexandria. This isn't just a building—it's a gathering place where ex-offenders find new beginnings, neighborhood kids discover they matter, and anyone can show up for a Friday meal without questions or barriers. Every program we run flows through these doors, making Kingdom work as tangible as a hot dinner and as personal as learning someone's name.

6th Avenue Community Center

No fees. No registration. No barriers. Just a safe place where neighborhood kids can be kids. Since 2008, we've been opening our doors every week to provide snacks, games, field trips, and caring adults who show up consistently. Some of these kids don't have another place where they're known by name and loved just because. We're not running a program—we're building a community, one after-school Tuesday at a time.

Friday Friendship Dinners

Every Friday at 6:30pm, we set tables and open doors. Whoever shows up—families, singles, ex-offenders, elderly neighbors, people who just need to not eat alone—gets a meal and a seat. No sermons, no registration, no pressure. Just the simple, scandalous hospitality of Jesus made visible through meatloaf and conversation. It's the Kingdom at a folding table.

Jail Ministry

The incarcerated aren't forgotten by God, and they shouldn't be forgotten by us. Our team has been showing up in local jails consistently for years—not to judge, but to bring hope, Scripture, and the reminder that a record doesn't define a destiny. Dignity and grace show up even behind bars when someone takes the time to care.

Kalon Prep Academy

Growing up today isn't easy, and not every student thrives in traditional settings. Kalon Prep meets students where they are—not where the system says they should be. We provide an educational environment focused on character, relationship, and preparing young people not just for tests, but for life. Every student has potential; some just need a different path to discover it.

Opportunity Enterprises, LLC

A criminal record shouldn't be a life sentence to unemployment and shame. Through hands-on vocational training in our machine shop, life skills coaching, and real job opportunities, we help recently released ex-offenders rebuild their lives with dignity. We don't just teach machining—we teach workplace ethics, financial planning, anger management, and how to show up for yourself and others. This isn't charity; it's restoration. And it works.

Audio Bibles in Ghana

Over 120,000 people in remote Ghanaian villages have now heard the Gospel in their own language for the first time. We partner with indigenous church leaders to distribute solar-powered audio Bibles that bring Scripture to communities where literacy rates are low and written Bibles are scarce. This isn't just information—it's transformation. Entire villages are being discipled because they can finally hear God's Word in the language of their hearts.

Place of Hope Africa

In partnership with Marv and Marie Bjorklund, we support emergency relief and long-term development work across South Africa. This ministry provides immediate help in crisis while building sustainable, community-led solutions that last. We don't just show up in disaster—we stay for the rebuilding, because transformation takes time and relationship.

Audio Bibles in Sri Lanka

In partnership with local pastors like Sathees Kumar, we've brought hundreds of audio Bibles to communities across Sri Lanka. Indigenous Christians are now equipped to share the Gospel in their own country, in their own language, without dependence on foreign missionaries. We're not importing faith—we're amplifying what God is already doing through local believers.

La Cosecha in Mexico

recovery ministry in Mexico that offers more than sobriety—it offers transformation through the Gospel. Men battling drug and alcohol addiction find healing, hope, and a new identity in Christ. We partner with this ministry because we believe freedom is possible, and no one is beyond the reach of God's redemption.
